The Ground Ground Name: Kenilworth RoadCapacity: 9,975 (all seated)Address: 1 Maple Road, Luton, LU4 8AWMain Telephone No: 01582-411622Ticket Office: 01582-416976Whats The Ground Like? The club have been talking about moving to new indoor stadium for sometime (the ill fated kohler Dome), and hence investment in Kenilworth Road in recent years has been neglected. One side of the ground and one end are ridiculously quite small covered. The smaller end of the ground, The Oak Road Stand, is reserved to away supporters and this has a number of supporting pillars which can obstruct your view. The other end is a large covered allseated stand. The side of the ground opposite the main stand is predominantly filled with executive boxes whilst the main stand itself is an older fair sized, two tiered covered stand. This stand is unusual as it is only runs for around two thirds of the length of the pitch, with another newer structure 'bolted' onto one end. The entrance to the Oak Road Stand must be one of the most unusual in the country. After going down a rather small alleyway, you would then think that you were queuing to go into someone's house!. This stand can house around 2,000 supporters. How To Get There And Where To Park Leave the M1 at Junction 11 and take the A505 towards Luton. Stay on this road and on encountering the central one way system follow signs for Dunstable. You will eventually see the ground on your left. Parking is Generally found were ever you can find a space within the vicinity of Luton. |
